Profile

Your profile contains your personal information and account settings. Here's how to view and update it.

Viewing Your Profile#

Access your profile by:

  1. Clicking your avatar in the top right corner
  2. Selecting "Profile" from the menu

Or navigate to Settings → Profile.

Profile Information#

Your profile includes:

FieldDescription
Display NameHow you appear in the app
EmailYour login email (cannot be changed)
Grade LevelYour current grade
SchoolYour school name (optional)
AvatarYour profile picture

Updating Your Profile#

Change Display Name#

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Click on your name
  3. Enter a new name
  4. Click "Save"

Update Grade Level#

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Click the Grade dropdown
  3. Select your current grade
  4. Changes save automatically

Add/Update School#

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Click the School field
  3. Enter your school name
  4. Click "Save"

Change Avatar#

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Click your current avatar
  3. Upload a new image (JPG, PNG, or GIF)
  4. Crop if needed
  5. Click "Save"

Tip: If you signed up with Google, your Google profile picture is used by default.

Account Security#

Change Password#

If you signed up with email:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password (twice)
  5. Click "Update Password"

Password requirements:

  • At least 8 characters
  • Mix of letters and numbers recommended

Email Preferences#

Verify Your Email#

If your email isn't verified:

  1. Click "Resend Verification"
  2. Check your inbox
  3. Click the verification link

Email Change#

To use a different email address:

  1. Contact support
  2. Verify you own the new email
  3. We'll update it for you

Note: You cannot change your email directly for security reasons.

Learning Preferences#

Set your study preferences to help the AI create better plans:

Preferred Study Times#

  • Morning, afternoon, or evening
  • Weekday vs. weekend preferences

Study Session Length#

  • Short (25 min) - Pomodoro style
  • Medium (45 min) - Standard
  • Long (90 min) - Deep focus

Break Frequency#

  • How often you need breaks
  • Break duration preferences

These settings help the Planning AI create realistic schedules.

Account Actions#

Sign Out#

  1. Click your avatar
  2. Select "Sign Out"
  3. You'll be returned to the login page

Sign Out Everywhere#

To sign out of all devices:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Click "Sign Out All Devices"
  3. You'll need to sign back in

Delete Account#

To permanently delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings → Account
  2. Scroll to "Danger Zone"
  3. Click "Delete Account"
  4. Enter your password
  5. Confirm deletion

Warning: This action is permanent. All your data will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

Privacy#

Your profile information is:

  • Stored securely
  • Never shared with third parties
  • Only visible to you
  • Used to personalize your experience

Parents with access can only see:

  • Your display name
  • Approved study plans

They cannot see your:

  • Email
  • Grades
  • Detailed assignments

Troubleshooting#

Can't update profile#

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Sign out and back in

Avatar won't upload#

  • Make sure the image is under 2MB
  • Use JPG, PNG, or GIF format
  • Try a different image

Forgot password#

  1. Go to the sign-in page
  2. Click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter your email
  4. Check for reset link
  5. Create a new password
